Intimacy:

Plywood, two way mirror, upholstery, duvetyn,
small spot light, hardware, room full of influential
people

2’0x2’0x7’0

A commission for a private event for
curators, gallerists, and art collectors from
London and Paris, I fabricated a padded,
upholstered box with a two-way mirror on
one side and climbed into it. For the duration
of the party (4.5 hrs), the visitors could see
me through the two-way glass, but I could see only
my own reflection on the mirrored side. A performance
about human loneliness and connection, and
the dynamics of the commodified persona in the art
world and beyond.
